Our Airports Are Important.
While
we are lucky that Alaska doesn’t yet have the pressures that threaten
airports that some parts of the country are seeing, we need to
be proactive to stay ahead of the game.
To help us understand some ways
to deal with threats to airports, Carol Ford from
the California Pilots Association will give a talk entitled, Three
tiered approach to saving airports: Lessons from California.
In a separate talk she will address airport managers and operators
on Why an airport managers association is a
good idea.
There
will also be a presentation on How to Go Broke
Building a Hangar,
and on insurance for airport owners and tenants.
Finally, airport
managers from across the state will share their issues and concerns
at the Airport Managers Issues session, moderated by Jane
Dale from the Palmer Municipal Airport. |
