Flying Companions Seminar

Educating non-pilots is also an element of the conference.  Friends and family who fly with you, or people who work in a professions that use aviation to get around Alaska will benefit from the Flying Companion Seminar.

Ths seminar provides the information needed to understand how airplanes work, to learn about navigation and communication, and ultimately, what to do if there is a problem during a flight.

Seminar topics include

  • How and why a plane flies
  • How to use the radios and about emergency frequencies
  • What to do in an emergency
  • Navigation: how to read charts and help navigate.
  • Aviation Instruments: what those gauges can tell you.

Upon completion of this seminar, your companion will very likely enjoy flying more and will definitely be able to help you in the cockpit

Our speakers are nationally known for providing a fun and entertaining four hour workshop to explain the mysteries of flight, and help non-pilots participate as a member of the flight crew.
